Privacy Policy

Marketing Metrology is a Canadian business. So, our privacy policy meets Canadian privacy requirements (PIPEDA) and it is written in plain, Canadian English.

In the following policy, the terms “we” and “our” refer to Marketing Metrology. The terms “you” and “your” refer to individual website users.

Summary

We genuinely care about privacy. It’s that simple.

We care about our own privacy. And we care at least as much—but probably a little bit more—about the privacy of our clients and anyone who visits this website.

If you have privacy-related questions or concerns you can send them directly to Marketing Metrology founder, Stefan Somborac at privacy@marketingmetrology.com.

The following privacy policy pertains only to data collected through this website.

What Information We Collect & Why

We collect non-personally identifiable information about the interactions users have with our website. That means, we collect anonymous data about how visitors use our site (what pages they visit, what content they download, etc.) but we don’t know who those visitors are.

We use the collected information to help us improve our website and our digital marketing.

Data collection and tracking starts on the very first page viewed by any visitor. So, it’s important to state the following: simply visiting this website implies your acknowledgement and consent to this Privacy Policy.

There are two exceptions in which we collect personally identifiable information:

  1. We collect the name and email address of each user who signs up for our email newsletter.
  2. We collect the name, email address, phone number and message content of each user who emails us through our website.

In either case, by deciding to submit those data, it is implied that the user consents to giving us the information and to receiving communication from us.

How We Use & Protect Your Information

The non-personally identifiable information we collect may be used with third-party services, such as analytics or marketing platforms. Throughout the process, it remains anonymous.

The information we collect that is personally identifiable (e.g. an email address) is never sold or traded. It may be put in the care of trusted third-party services that we use to run our business. Specifically, these include:

  • Bulk email services (we use Mailchimp)
  • Data storage and backup providers (we use Google’s G Suite)
  • Cloud-based payment & accounting software (we use Wave)

Any information we collect may be released if required by law.

Your Rights

You may request access and corrections to your personally identifiable data. You may also request that we stop using it, change how we use it, delete it and/or transfer it to a third-party of your choosing. We will oblige requests, as required by law or, when not required, as we consider to be reasonable.

Changes to this Privacy Policy will be posted on this page.
